Our courses are designed to introduce new gun owners to gun safety and defensive shooting fundamentals, and will substantially elevate the skills of experienced shooters.
If you're thinking about getting your Tennessee Handgun Carry Permit, our introductory course will prepare you for the gun safety class required to obtain it. Even if you've never fired a gun, we can train you!
If you already have your permit, our Defensive Shooting course takes over where the gun safety class left off, by teaching you the advanced skills you'll need should your worst nightmares become reality.
Being certified by the state to carry a firearm does not equate to being qualified to perform under the most stressful circumstances imaginable. The 'permit class' (technically a gun safety course) is a great place to start your training, but it is not the level of training after which you should consider yourself truly prepared for the realities of a sudden violent attack. When violence is threatened or an attack occurs, the basic marksmanship training received in the permit class will do little to help you overcome the body's natural responses, and 'skills' such as focusing on the front sight, holding your breath and slowly pressing the trigger are useless.
